Here is some of my  observations

- Dont play too risky on start : peoples are always going “All in” in the first 15 minutes of the tournament.

- Dont go “All in” : The best trick to stay in a tournament for a long period is to never go “All in”. You can bet a good bunch but if it is possible to avoid the “All in”, avoid it.

- Avoid to play against someone with more money than you : If you always play against people with more money than you, he could push you to the “All in” and then you are probably screwed.

- Stay calm, Be patient : Holdem Tournament are games you can win even if you get bad cards most of the time. Wait for a good hand. You cant lose with a good hand.

A variation of an Italian game introduced in France at the end of the 15th century, Baccarat appeared in North America early in the 20th century. Since, many gambling strategy appears.

The object of the game: Players attempt to predict which of the two hands (Player or Banker) will have a point total closest to 9, the highest value for a hand.

Baccarat is played with six or eight decks of cards dealt from a shoe. Players may wager on the Player hand (Joueur) or on the Banker hand (Banque). Players wagering on the Banker hand must add a commission equal to 5% of their wager in the appropriate area on the layout. They may also wager on a tie (Égalité). All bets must be placed before the dealer draws the first card from the shoe.

Players must respect the minimum and maximum limits indicated at the table when placing their bets. These limits may vary from one table to the next.

The Cards

Face cards and tens count as 0, Aces count as 1 and all other cards are counted at face value. The value of each hand is the last digit of the sum of the cards.

For example: 10 + 4 + 9 = 13. The value of this hand is 3.The Deal

With each hand being dealt, the first and third cards dealt from the shoe make up the Player hand, and the second and fourth cards, the Banker hand. Once the cards are distributed, the dealer announces the point count for each hand.

If the total of one of the two hands, each made up of two cards, is 8 or 9, the hand is called a Natural, and no other cards are dealt for the Player hand or the Banker hand. Otherwise, a third card may be drawn, as the case may be, for the Player hand or the Banker hand.

* A wager on the Player hand (Joueur) wins and is paid even money (1 to 1) if the total value of the Player hand is higher than that of the Banker hand. It loses if its total value is lower than that of the Banker hand.

Payouts: * A wager on the Banker hand (Banque) wins and is paid even money (1 to 1) if the total value of the Banker hand is higher than that of the Player hand. It loses if its total value is lower than that of the Player hand. When a wager on the Banker hand is a winner, the 5% commission on the amount of the wager is collected. If the wager is not a multiple of 10, the commission is calculated based on the next higher multiple of 10. * A wager on a tie (Égalité) wins and is paid 8 to 1 if the total value of the Player hand is equal to that of the Banker hand. It loses if the total value of the Player hand and the Banker hand is different. In the case of a tie, the wagers on both the Player hand and the Banker hand are a push, i.e. they neither win nor lose.

Player Options

Based on the total of his first two cards and the value of the dealer’s face up card, the player has the following options:

Hit, i.e. draw one or several additional cards to improve his hand without going over 21.

Stand if he is satisfied with his hand.

Split a pair, i.e. two cards of the same value, up to a maximum of four hands. Each hand is then played separately. Aces may be split only once and the player receives only one additional card for each hand. When splitting a hand, the player must wager an additional amount equal to his original bet. There is no Blackjack on split pairs.

Double down, i.e. wager an additional amount equal to the original bet after the first two cards are dealt, except if the two cards dealt total 21. A player may also double down after splitting a pair, except in the case of a pair of Aces. In all cases, the player receives only one additional card after doubling down.

Take insurance if the dealer’s face up card is an Ace. In this case, the player may wager a sum equal to one-half of his original bet on the insurance line. If the dealer draws a Blackjack, the insurance bet pays 2 to 1. If the dealer fails to draw a Blackjack, the player loses his insurance bet.

Best Black Jack Strategy

H = Hit

S = Stand

D = Double if allowed, otherwise hit

Ds = Double if allowed, otherwise stand

SP = Split

SR = Surrender if possible, otherwise hit

The House Strategy

Payouts

A bet wins if:

The total value of the player’s hand is 21 or less and exceeds the value of the dealer’s hand.

The total value of the player’s hand is 21 or less and the dealer’s hand is over 21.

The player’s hand is a Blackjack while the total value of the dealer’s hand is 21, with three cards or more.

A Blackjack is paid 3 to 2, as long as the dealer does not draw a Blackjack himself, which would be considered a tie.

Any other winning hand is paid even money.

When the player’s hand and the dealer’s hand tie, neither wins nor loses and the player takes back his bet.

If the value of the player’s hand exceeds 21, he loses his bet.

Standing Players

A player who is standing may wager on the hand of a player who is seated provided there is an available spot on the layout for this purpose and that the limits per hand indicated at the table are respected. The standing player is bound by the seated player’s decisions, except that he is not required to take insurance, split, or double down when the seated player does so.

There is so many different roulette strategy and for so many years that I think that gambling system martingale was create for that specific game.

Wheel Checks (Chips)

All players in a Roulette game place their wagers in the same betting area. In order to eliminate confusion over the ownership of the inside bets, each player purchases wheel checks of a specific color at the table and determines their value before beginning to play. This way, each player plays with wheel checks of a different color. As a result, wheel checks may only be played at the table where they were purchased. They have no value anywhere else and the player must exchange them for regular value chips before leaving the table.

The Game

The dealer spins the wheel in one direction and the Roulette ball in the other. Bets may be made until the dealer announces « Rien ne va plus » (No more bets!). For a spin to be valid, the ball must complete at least seven revolutions without any obstruction. When the ball comes to rest on a number, the dealer announces the winning number and marks it on the layout. All wagers involving this number are winners and are paid according to the payout in the betting charts. All other wagers lose. Players must wait for the dealer to announce « Faites vos jeux » (Place your bets) before placing their bets for the next game.

Roulette Winning Strategy

For example, if your key horse is #5 and your other horses are number’s 2, 4, 6 and 8, you will win if #5 finishes FIRST and three of your other four horses finish second, third and fourth.

Superfecta Full Wheel

You may select one or more horses to finish in any given position and combine these selections withall possible entries in the other positions. The number of combinations will vary according to the total number of horses in the race.

Superfecta Part Wheel

The Superfecta Part Wheel is offered at a $1 minimum bet per combination and recently some horse track offer $0.20 bet. It is now possible to make a Superfecta wager coupling one or more horses to finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th.

The Superfecta Gambling Strategy

Ok ! Enough of the general informations about superfecta let’s get into the matter of making money with that bet.

First thing to understand

about superfecta is that the betting pool must be big enough. You must play superfecta where the pool is big. Avoid to bet superfecta in small horse race track. Why ???

Fisrt Half Speed Superfecta Strategy

Another very good superfecta strategy is about guessing if the starter or the staller will get the advantage. Divide the field in two 4 horses with fast start speed call them the A and 4 horses without call them the B.

Pick the one you like the most between the A call him A1.Put him first and second as a key with the three others.

Don’t expect regular gain with superfecta strategy. The idea behind that bet is to win big once in a while. I recommand you keep a seperate bankroll and record about that bet.

In addition to his initial bet, the player may place a supplemental bet (Tie bet) which wins if his first card is equal in rank to the dealer’s first card. This bet must respect the minimum and maximum limits indicated at the table.

Tie bet pays 10 to 1.

There is so many things to consider to handicaping horse race. Betting horse race and watching the race horse through the wire is very exciting. There is two major kind of horse race track. One present harness horse race and the other thoroughbred horse race. The Trainer

Horse race training is an art and a good trainer will always get a serious edge. So its a must to have a look on the best trainer of the track you play on.

Check the previous year average of the trainer. At the end of the meeting check the average of the current year. Same things as for jockey, try to know who is hot and who is not.

In thoroughbred, some trainer are good on turf some are not. In harness race, some trainer are good with trotter some are better with pacer. It is very important to know if that trainer stable is hot or cold. An hot stable can bring many winner inside 1 or 2 weeks.

Why is hot ? Sometimes they put some stimulate addition in the horse food or the vetenary visit the stable or other reasons.

The Spectacular Thoroughbred Race

The Horse

Considering wich horse is the best for that particular race is a very interesting part of horse race strategy.

First don’t be sentimental. I saw many handicapper over evaluate the chance of a horse for sentimental reason. Endurance, speed and shape of the horse are all important element. You should look at the most recent performance wich is the more important. What kind of race does he or she made. Don’t over evaluate the time. Pay more attention of how the horse react. Did he finished very strong ? Did he make a move in the race that cause his defeat ? Did he make a very tough race ? I don’t like horse with consecutive big effort race. For exemple, the horse goes in front and was attacked in fast fraction and was beaten; next race he was caught way outside for all race and was beaten again. That horse may be tired.

Always watch the horse that come back from a rest. Specially the first 3 start after a rest. If the horse improve pay attention he can be your winner. If only one of the previous race looks terrible just forget it and check the other one. Horses are living creature sometimes they feel sick, bad mood and thousand of reason why a horse did not perform well. Once, its an accident more than one, be careful its a risky bet.

The class is also a big factor. If the horse raise class too much be careful. He may not be able to perform as well as the previous race. I like the horse with class raise only if he is in an improvement process. Be careful with horse who drop class. Sometimes the trainer make the horse look bad in previous race to make sure he can get the class drop. But if the trainer is not one of the best it is possible that the horse facing problem and I wouldn’t bet on him. The age of the horse can be a factor, some horse can not perform as well as before when they getting old. Sometimes the horse is tired and need a break. Check how many consecutive race he has run.

Where to Play ?

Where to play ? is one of the most important topic and probably the one that is less discussed in the world of horse race strategy.

The Hands

After having examined his hand, the player has the option of making an additional bet (relance) equal to twice the amount of his ante. If the player decides not to make an additional bet, he loses his ante. Players are not authorized to show their cards nor to discuss them with other players. Once all the players have made their decisions and placed their cards face down on the layout, the dealer exposes his cards and sets the highest ranking poker hand possible.

To open, the dealer must have at least a King and an Ace or a higher ranking hand. When the dealer can open, he exposes, in turn, the cards of all the players who have placed an additional bet. If two hands are of equal ranking, based on the foregoing combinations, or if they contain none of these combinations, the hand with the highest ranking card is considered the highest ranking hand; otherwise the hands are considered to be of equal ranking.

The Combinations

The ranking of Caribbean Poker combinations, in decreasing order, is as follows:

Royal flush: Ace-King-Queen-Jack-10 of the same suit.

Straight flush: five cards of the same suit in consecutive order, with King-Queen-Jack-10-9 being the highest ranking straight flush and Ace-2-3-4-5 being the lowest ranking straight flush.

Four-of-a-kind: four cards of the same rank, with four Aces being the highest ranking four-of-a-kind and four 2s being the lowest ranking four-of-a-kind.

Full house: three-of-a-kind and a pair, with three Aces and two Kings being the highest ranking full house, and three 2s and two 3s being the lowest ranking full house.

Flush: five cards of the same suit.

Straight: five cards in consecutive order, regardless of suit, with Ace-King-Queen-Jack-10 being the highest ranking straight and Ace-2-3-4-5 being the lowest ranking straight.

Three-of-a-kind: three cards of the same rank, with three Aces being the highest ranking three-of-a-kind and three 2s being the lowest ranking three-of-a-kind.

Two pair: two sets of two cards of the same rank, with two Aces and two Kings being the highest ranking two pair and two 2s and two 3s being the lowest ranking two pair.

Pair: two cards of the same rank, with two Aces being the highest ranking pair and two 2s being the lowest ranking pair.

Caribbean Poker Payouts

If the player has made an additional bet and the dealer cannot open, the player’s ante is paid even money and his additional bet is a push.

If the hand of the player who has made an additional bet ranks higher than the dealer’s hand and the dealer can open, the player’s ante wins and is paid even money, and his additional bet wins and is paid according to the chart to the right.

If the hand of the player who has made an additional bet ranks lower than the dealer’s hand and the dealer can open, the player’s ante and additional bet lose.

If the hand of the player who has made an additional bet is equal in rank to that of the dealer and the dealer can open, the bets are a push.

The Progressive Jackpot of Caribbean Poker

In addition to the ante, the player may place a supplemental bet of $1, also called “progressive” bet, to try to win all or part of the progressive jackpot amount indicated on the display panel at the table. Caribbean poker supplemental bet must be placed in the designated area on the layout before the dealer announces “Rien ne va plus” (No more bets) and the cards are distributed. The supplemental bet wins if the player’s hand is a royal flush, a straight flush, a four-of-a-kind, a full house, or a flush, regardless of the ranking of the dealer’s hand, and is paid as follows:

If the weak market getting weaker, I am not in worry because I am confident and I will remain patient cause I don’t like loosing money. If the weak market getting stronger, I let it go until I am satisfied with my profit or until the raise seems reaching the end.

Its a good time to buy that solid company. The actual price is very low and I believe that stock can just raise in the next few weeks.

Stock Market Strategy Exemple

To illustrate my point, here’s the kind of company that I like and the way to play with it.

The company is Starbuck (SBUX). You like coffee I like coffee and I love the profit I make with Starbuck. I show you how.

See the graphic below is the chart of that stock for the last 2 years.

1st Transaction

You can see that around April 2006 the price drop around $30. In fact, I bought the stock at the price $31.50. About one month later the price raise to $35 and start to drop again. I sell $34.50.

Let’s say you invest $1000 when you resell you get $1095. 9.5% profit in 3 weeks.

2nd Transaction

The price drop to $32.50 and start to raise again. I rebuy at $33.00. Then the raise wasn’t very strong so I keep it. Then suddenly move up very fast to reach $38 before start to drop. I sell $37.50.

This time you invest $1095 when you resell you get $1245. 13% profit in 5 weeks.

3rd Transaction

Then it drop again under $35. I rebuy $35.00 then it raise fast to $37.00 not enough to resell. Then drop very fast again until $33.50. Then just before October 2006 the price drop again to reach $32.00.

*(Another rebuy is needed there but I will explain that later)

I held the stock cause I am confident no reason to panic. Then the price jump reaching $42.50 before it show a sign of weakness. I resell $42.00.

The investment was $1245 leading to $1495. A nice 20% profit in 4 1/2 months.

4th Transaction

After that, the price will show a very weak trend. Finally the dropped stop under $30. I rebuy at $30. Raise to $33.75 and reseel at $33.25.

$1495 investment leads this time to $1655. 10% profit in two weeks.

5th Transaction

The price drop again under $30. Rebuy at $30. Raise to $33. Resell at $32.50.

$1655 investment leads to $1795. 8% in one week.

6th Transaction

The price drop again under $30 second redrop. I rebuy $30. Raise over $33 and resell $32.50.

$1795 investment leads to $1945. Another 8% this time takes 3 weeks.

7th Transaction

Then you saw the price drop very fast to $25. I rebuy $26.00. Then raise to $29.75. I resell $29.00.

$1945 investment leads to $2170. 11.5% profit in two months.

8th Transaction

The the price reach drop under $25 again. Rebuy at $25. After that the price will drop under $23.00 Holding the stock with confident until the raise come again reaching $28. Resell at $27.50.

$2170 investment leads to $2385. 10% profit in two months.

9th Transaction

The price drop to $25.50 and I rebuy at $26.00. Couple of weeks later the price reach $29.75 and I resell at $29.00.

$2385 investment leads to $2660. 11.5% profit.

10th Transaction

The price drop again to $27.50. I rebuy at $28.00. 1 month later the price get over $32.00. I resell $31.50.

$2660 investment leads to $2995. 12.5% profit in three weeks.

Conclusion

First time I bought the stock in March 2006 I pay $30.00.If I was a long term investor I will still own the stock now while the price almost the same. So my $1000 initial investment will still be $1000. Everything is fine no problem with that. Next year that stock will reach $40 I believe.

But with my stock market strategy I almost triple my money for the same period. I made 20 transactions so I pay $200 in brokerage fee.Wich represent a high percentage but the $1000 was only an exemple. If you invest $10 000 instead of $1000 the fees could be the same but the percentage much lower.

Additionnal Strategy

When the stock drop in a significant manner after you bought it, you can bought some more. That will lowering your average price and so you can resell at a lower level and make more profit. I suggest adding 25% of your initial investment not more than twice.

If you look at the graphic. In July 2006 you bought the stock $35.00 but it drop to $33.50 until start to raise.

You rebuy at $34.00.

25% of your initial investment.

In October 2006 the price drop again to $32.50.

You rebuy at $33.00

Another 25% of your initial investment. Now your average is not $35.00 anymore but $34.50. When the raise come your profit will be higher.

My Stock Market Picks

Recently the overall market drop in a significant manner. So now a lot of good deal appears on the market.

Starbuck is one of them but I am patient and I wait until next week to make sure the bear trend is over. So visit the site regularly I believe next week will be a good time to buy.

If you relly want to buy today or tomorrow then I suggest you bought EBAY. I think the downtrend is over and that stock will lead to a nice prifit in the coming weeks.
